How to Select the Right Temperature Sensor for Industrial Equipment

Selection Guide (English Version)

1. Pressure Transmitter Selection

  • General Purpose: Ideal for common industrial media like water, oil, and gas with high cost-effectiveness.
  • Industrial Type: Best for environments requiring corrosion resistance, explosion-proof ratings, or superior long-term stability.
  • High-Temperature: For media exceeding 85°C (e.g., steam or thermal oil), select the high-temperature model (up to 250°C) with a heat-sink design.

2. Temperature Sensor Selection

  • Mounting Type:Surface Mount: Choose "Surface RTD" or "Ring Lug Thermistor" for measuring the outer walls of motors or pipes. Threaded Mount: Choose "Screw-in RTD" for internal temperature monitoring in machinery, bearings, or injection molders. Quick Connection: Choose "Hirschmann Connector RTD" for easy wiring and frequent maintenance.
  • Accuracy Requirements:Standard Industrial: Select Class A (±0.15°C) or Class B (±0.30°C). Laboratory Precision: Select Class 1/3B (±0.10°C) or Class 1/30B (±0.01°C).
  • Signal Transmission:For long-distance transmission and anti-interference, use a "Temperature Transmitter Module" to convert signals to 4-20mA.
